I offer several different bases that you can order your yarn in, which can be a bit overwhelming if you haven't ventured into different fibres before!

Here's a rough breakdown of each base and what the differences are between them, so you know which one will be the perfect choice for your next project.

100% Superwash Merino

This is arguably the softest of all my bases. It's squishy and it's gorgeous and it feels amazing against your skin. It's purely merino, so it might not be ideal for items you plan on wearing a lot, like socks.

Pitter Patter

85% Superwash Merino/15% Nylon

This base is still amazingly soft but because it has some nylon in it, it's more hard-wearing than Marshmallow. This is a great base for making socks, which is how it got its name!

100% Superwash Blue-Faced Leicester

This is my personal favourite of all the bases I offer. I know you shouldn't have favourites... but I can't help myself! BFL has a bit more texture than the merino bases do but still feels nice and soft against your skin. It also has a naturally warm, creamy undertone which makes any dye that goes on top slightly warmer and slightly more muted than the merino bases.

72% Brushed Superkid Mohair/28% Mulberry Silk

The best word to describe this base is... FLUFFY! Mohair like this looks amazing when it's held double with another yarn, since it gives your projects an amazing fluffy halo. On it's own it's lightweight and airy.

80% Superwash Merino/15% Nylon/5% Gold Stellina

This is one of the two sparkly bases I offer and it's so special. The gold stellina sparkles under any colourway to give it a little something extra. My stellina bases are sparkly and festive without being scratchy.

75% Superwash Merino/15% Nylon/10% Silver Stellina

This is one of the two sparkly bases I offer and it's so special. The silver stellina sparkles under any colourway to give it a little something extra. My stellina bases are sparkly and festive without being scratchy.
