Bodach - Fingering/Sock Weight
This is part of my Granda's Collection - a trio of colourways that I designed in memory of my late Granda.
"Bodach" means old man in Gaelic but I knew the meaning of this word long before I knew which language it was. It was what my Granny always called my Granda and this colourway represents him.
The rich greens symbolise the love he had for his garden and for things that grow. There are little glimpses of khaki and teal throughout this colourway that represent the time he spent in the RAF - his time posted on Christmas Island was something he was always immensely proud of.
- 4-ply/Sock weight
- 2.5-4mm needles recommended
- Available in BFL (100% SW Blue Faced Leicester Wool)
Stewart Yarns are all dyed by hand. This gives each skein a unique finish, which means your skein might not look exactly like the one in the picture. However, all the skeins in this colourway are made in the same way, in the same style.
Acid dye has been used to create this colourway. While every measure has been taken (lots and lots of washing!) your yarn may bleed a little for the first couple of washes.
While this yarn can go in your washing machine in cold water on a gentle cycle, I would recommend washing by hand and drying flat. I would also recommend using a wool wash detergent.
If you have any questions about this yarn, please get in touch with me. I'm happy to help!
