It Might Come In Handy

This is part of my Granda's Collection - a trio of colourways that I designed in memory of my late Granda.

When I think of growing up with my Granda, the smell of wood pervades it all. He was a joiner and had a knowledge of woodworking that few people achieve in anything. He loved building things and fixing things, and his shed was the hub of it all.

He kept just about everything and never got rid of something he hoped would be one day be useful. He loved being the person to fix your problem, especially if it was something he had managed to hold on to for a while, just in case.

The variegated brown tones in this colourway represent his shed and his love of creating things. It's natural, earthy and simple - with a bit of a purple undertone.

This colourway is available in a variety of bases but with this, and all three of the Granda's Collection colourways, I'd recommend getting it on the BFL base - it's my favourite.

Stewart Yarns are all dyed by hand. This gives each skein a unique finish, which means your skein might not look exactly like the one in the picture. However, all the skeins in this colourway are made in the same way, in the same style.

Acid dye has been used to create this colourway. While every measure has been taken (lots and lots of washing!) your yarn may bleed a little for the first couple of washes.

While this yarn can go in your washing machine in cold water on a gentle cycle, I would recommend washing by hand and drying flat. I would also recommend using a wool wash detergent.

If you have any questions about this yarn, please get in touch with me. I'm happy to help!
