Cailleach Cowl Kit
This kit includes the PATTERN and the YARN to make yourself a Cailleach Cowl, designed by Eildon Hill Designs.
You will receive:
1 x printed copy of the Cailleach Cowl pattern
1 x skein of Beira - DK weight
The textured lines of this cowl echo the inspiration for my Beira colourway.
The Cailleach is the mythological goddess who created Scotland - she drew up the mountains and filled all the lochs with her staff of power.
This beautiful, soft and cosy cowl is knitted in the round from the bottom up, and only uses cleverly placed twisted stitches - no cables! - to achieve a lovely textured effect.
This pattern has both written and charted instructions.
A matching Cailleach Hat pattern is available, you can buy the kit for it here.
Pitter Patter: 85% Superwash Merino/15% Nylon
3.5-4.5mm needles recommended
This colourway is available in a range of bases. If you have questions about these bases, then be sure to check out my Bases page for more information, or don't hesitate to get in touch with me.
Stewart Yarns are all dyed by hand. This gives each skein a unique finish, which means your skein might not look exactly like the one in the picture. However, all the skeins in this colourway are made in the same way, in the same style.
Acid dye has been used to create this colourway. While every measure has been taken (lots and lots of washing!) your yarn may bleed a little for the first couple of washes.
While this yarn can go in your washing machine in cold water on a gentle cycle, I would recommend washing by hand and drying flat. I would also recommend using a wool wash detergent.
If you have any questions about this yarn, please get in touch with me. I'm happy to help!
